"To me, the thought of using a piezo mandolin pickup on an acoustic instrument runs contrary to getting a reliable, consistently good tone. In my experience, the only consistent thing about piezos is their flat tone and horrible feedback.
I wanted a solution for this mandolin that would faithfully reproduce its sound without having to modify the instrument.
My Feather mandolin pickup is a great piece of gear! It’s got a nice compact design, and the sound is right on! After finding a sweet spot through one of the f-holes, the gooseneck and mounting clip provided just the right amount of wiggle room to stay in the sweet spot but stay out of my way. I’m really looking forward to using this on some of my other acoustic instruments!"
